From Vision to Vocation
Beyond floor plans, finishes, and furniture lies a deeper ambition that defines the work of Godric Gn, Senior Designer at Third Paragraph Interior.

For him, interior design is not merely about creating beautiful spaces. It is about translating human stories into environments that feel authentic, intentional, and deeply lived in.

Godric’s journey into interior design began with an instinctive desire to transform ideas into tangible experiences. What started as quiet participation gradually evolved into a deeper involvement in the studio’s creative direction. Over time, the process of shaping conversations, emotions, and aspirations into everyday environments revealed itself as his true calling.

Today, his design philosophy is defined by three guiding principles: intentional, human-centred, and quietly expressive. Rather than chasing trends, Godric focuses on creating spaces that are timeless, meaningful, and grounded in the lives of their occupants.

Designing from Within

At the heart of Third Paragraph Interior lies a clear belief: a home should reflect the homeowner’s story.

This philosophy fundamentally shapes how Godric approaches each project. Instead of beginning with stylistic references, he begins with people how they live, move, and experience space. These insights inform spatial planning, where rooms are not only arranged for efficiency but also for emotional comfort.

Circulation flows naturally. Spaces feel intuitive. The home unfolds effortlessly.

In contrast to studios that impose a recognisable aesthetic, the approach here is more restrained and nuanced. The result is not a “designed look,” but a home that feels deeply personal and inherently lived in.

The Craft of an Intentional Design

Across Godric’s portfolio, several defining elements consistently emerge.

Lighting is treated not as decoration, but as an architectural instrument. Concealed LED strips, recessed ceiling lines, and illuminated niches are seamlessly integrated into walls, stair panels, and cabinetry. These subtle interventions sculpt depth, enhance materiality, and quietly shape the emotional tone of a space.

Sculptural forms also play a key role. Curved walls, arched mirrors, and dimensional treatments soften rigid geometries, introducing rhythm and moments of visual calm within structured layouts.

Materiality is approached with equal precision. Reflective surfaces are juxtaposed with tactile finishes, marble with pronounced veining sits alongside matte cabinetry, creating contrast while maintaining cohesion. The result is an environment that feels layered, yet controlled.

Project Spotlight: King’s Road

One project that encapsulates Godric’s philosophy is a multi-storey residence at King’s Road residence.

The brief was clear: to create a contemporary home that felt refined yet understated, visually expansive, yet emotionally warm.

The design balances openness with intimacy, allowing the home to transition seamlessly between everyday family life and social gatherings. Spatial planning, lighting integration, and material selection work in tandem to deliver a home that feels both composed and inviting.

Project Spotlight: 125 Serangoon Road

At 125 Serangoon residence, the vision took on a more expressive direction.

The homeowner sought a bold, immersive sanctuary defined by sculptural forms, layered lighting, and striking materials. The design carefully controls sightlines and zoning, guiding movement through the space with intention.

Softer interventions and curved plaster walls and full-height curtains temper the intensity of heavier materials, creating balance. The result is a home that feels both dramatic and deeply considered.
